Volunteer Opportunities
Snack Shack- Check out the kids after school! Get to know your child’s friends. Sell snacks and drinks to students after school once a month or on an as-needed basis! Snack Shack is open for approximately 30 minutes after dismissal. This is a fun and easy volunteer opportunity and the PTO’s biggest fund-raising activity!
Lanier Gear- The PTO is selling fun clothes and stuff that all say “Lanier”. Additionally, it will carry school supplies that our kids always realize they need about 11:00 p.m, such as composition books and protractors! The Lanier Gear store is open during lunch on Wednesdays from the beginning of school through the end of October and then at special events.
Teacher Appreciation- Show our teachers how invaluable they are! Provide baked goods for monthly luncheons 3-4 times per year. This is a great home volunteer opportunity.
Buildings and Grounds- Keep Lanier beautiful! Work in the great outdoors during the year to spruce up our school’s grounds.
Uniform Sales- Retail sales experience is not required! Staff needed to sell student uniforms on Mondays from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. or on Thursdays from 11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. on a monthly basis.
Hospitality- Provide refreshments 4-6 times during the year for events, including Career Day, NJHS Initiation and the First Day of School Parent Coffee. Volunteers pick up refreshments, set up serving areas and clean up.
Bookfair- Preparation for this event is still pending.

First Day Packets- Volunteers needed before school begins to help stuff the First Day Packets. This is a great project for service project organizations!
