What Does the PTO Do For Me?
The PTO is the official voice of the parents and teachers of Lanier Middle School. By joining the PTO, you evidence your commitment to maintaining the standard of excellence that Lanier Middle School enjoys today. The PTO:
provides academic support to the teachers in many ways. Teachers have attended professional development courses paid for by the PTO that have changed the complexion of the academic landscape.
provides $250.00 per teacher for school supplies not paid for by HISD
funds campus up-grades and renovations such as the security cameras located throughout the school and recently funded improvements to the auditorium sound system.
paid for the Nextel communication system used by the administratiors to monitor the campus.
publishes the PURPLE PAGE that keeps parents informed about the school.
publishes the school directory and makes it available to all students and teachers without charge.
These are just a sampling of the way the PTO makes Lanier better! None of these things are possible without your support, both financial and personal! |
