HSPVA Friends’ Middle School Workshops provide opportunities for students in grades 6-8 to participate in classes in Creative Writing, Dance, Instrumental and Vocal Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts.
The workshops are divided by art area and taught by Kinder HSPVA students. While participation has no effect on a student’s application to Kinder HSPVA, each workshop is an excellent educational opportunity and a unique introduction to the specific art areas.

Carnegie Theater Company @ Carnegie Vanguard High School Presents "Mojada"
In Mojada, acclaimed playwright Luis Alfaro masterfully reimagines Euripides’ ancient tragedy as a gripping modern day story of an undocumented family.
Torn between holding onto their traditional Mexican roots and adapting to survive in America, the family faces a harrowing choice where assimilation is a matter of life and death.
Blending unexpected humor, rich folklore, and intense suspense, the play builds to a powerful climax that reveals the true cost of chasing a new life. It is a stunning, deeply human portrait of love, sacrifice, and the gripping reality of the American immigration system.
Production playing 7pm on September 11, 12 (play in all Spanish), 18 and 19.
