Middle school is a short time.  If you would like to jump in and get involved we'd love to help your insight, help and support!!  Let us know your interests and we can get you connected with others to help us make our Lanier Middle School community an awesome one.  There are all sorts of roles ranging in time commitments and skills! We will start to contact interested parents in Fall 2026.

Fundraising Planning Committee
Work with VP of Fundraising to plan the Fall Raise Your Paws Campaign, Corporate Sponsorships and help distribute the swag to students in the fall.
6th Grade Social Planning Committee
Work with the PTO Exec Team to plan the Fall 6th Grade Social for our newest Lanier PUPS!
HOCO (Homecoming) Week Planning Committee
Work with the PTO Exec Team to plan the Home coming week events for students including the Dance for 7th & 8th graders.
Teacher Appreciation Planning Committee
Work with VP of Socials to plan monthly Teacher Appreciation Lunches (last Friday of month) and Teacher Appreciation week (May 2026).
Auction Planning Committee
Work with VP of Fundraising to plan the Spring Lanier Auction, including collecting donations, selling tickets and helping at the event.
Fall Parent-Teacher Social Planning Committee
Work with the VP of Socials to plan the Fall Parent- Teacher Social.
Uniform Store
Help on a reoccurring basis with store and/or big distribution events with the VP of Finance.
Communications
Work with the VP of communications to get the word out about school events via various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp, Purple Page etc)
Financial & Audit Committee
Work with VP of Finance - assist with budget and keeping up with receipts.
Laptop Committee Volunteer
Work with School to organize distribution of laptops to students in the Fall and collection of laptops in the Spring.
Centennial Planning Committee
Lanier is turning 100! Help plan the events for our Centennial year from January to December 2026!
